Today we want to show you a quick way to whip up your own almond milk at home. Almonds offer some great nutrients so this can be a great addition to your diet.
It’s simple to make and can be kept in the fridge for about a week. You can even add ingredients like cacao and turn it into chocolate milk. We’d love to hear about your favorite almond milk recipe!
Homemade Almond Milk
Ingredients
- 2 cups of soaked almonds
- 6 cups of water
- 3 dates
- A pinch of salt
- Vanilla extract to taste
Instructions
- Soak your almonds overnight to soften them.
- Drain the water and dump your nuts
- into a blender.
- Add about 6 cups of water to the blender along with your
- dates, salt and vanilla.
- Blend for several minutes and then strain it through your nut milk bag.
- Bottle it and keep it in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.
